Please note, that Merton Priory Homes (MPH) is a Registered Social Landlord, housing benefit payments are made to us like every other Registered Social Landlord which is every four weeks in arrears. Because of this, if you are in receipt of housing benefits the rent statement you have received may show your rent account to be in arrears when it may not be.
Below are the various ways that you can pay your rent:
Direct Debit is the easy way for you to pay your rent. You can instruct us to collect money from your bank or building society account. We will let you know:
The direct debit scheme is quick and easy and you do not have to remember when to pay. The scheme is protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee. Direct Debit forms are available from your Housing Office. Please ask your housing officer for the form, or contact us.
You can use your rent payment swipe card at post offices, shops and garages across the United Kingdom showing an e.pay, Payzone or Paypoint sign. Go to Allpay website to find out your nearest place to pay.
You can also pay your rent by text message, using our All Pay service.

You can make payments using a credit or debit card by calling the 24-hour Allpay payment line, 0844 557 8321. You can also call the MPH offices during office hours on 0300 500 3000, and an officer will make the payment into the Allpay system for you. There will be no charge for paying by credit or debit card.

You can pay your rent directly on the Allpay website. You will need to enter your rent payment card details.
If you work for us, you can have your rent taken out of your salary. Please ask your housing officer for a form.
Whichever method of payment you choose, you remain responsible for payments reaching your account on time.
If you can not pay your rent for whatever reasons you should contact your housing officer straight away. We will treat your case privately and fairly. Let us know of any difficulties quickly and we can often help you. If you delay contacting us or fail to pay your rent, you would build up rent arrears and you could be at risk of losing your home.
