Resident involvement

Welcome to the resident involvement section, which provides information on how you can become more involved in shaping our services.

We will listen to your comments and suggestions and use these to make our services better. We will encourage you to influence and shape our services by sharing decision making where possible.

For details of events coming up in April 2012 please see our Events Calendar - April 2012 (137 KB).

For details of events coming up in May 2012 please see our Events Calendar - May 2012 (133 KB)

Resident involvement is not just about talking about your homes, it’s about working with your neighbourhoods. The resident involvement team can provide residents with opportunities to:

  • influence decisions
  • get involved to improve services in your local communities
  • work in partnership with Mole Valley Housing Association and other agencies to maintain and improve standards and services
  • help Mole Valley Housing Association achieve delivering the right services in the future by working with you.

We can provide relevant training, encouragement and support in order for residents to achieve this.

So what difference do residents make?

Here are some of the ways you can get involved

Groups and forums

Sheltered Housing Forum

Tenants living in sheltered housing have their own group to represent their views and has representatives from most of the 17 sheltered schemes in the District.

The Sheltered Housing Forum meets 3 times a year and discusses issues that are relevant to the needs of our sheltered housing tenants in the District.

If you live in sheltered housing and would like more details about the Forum please contact your Scheme Manager or Kirstin Pavitt, Sheltered Housing Officer on 01306 505 576.

Tenants' and Residents' Associations

Mole Valley Housing Association encourages local groups to form to represent tenants and residents in a particular geographical area, and will give help and support to those that would like to start one up. Currently there are 2 local Residents' Associations recognised by MVHA in the District:

  • Goodwyns Community Group - representing the Goodwyns estate in Dorking
  • ROME - representing the Middlemead estate in Great Bookham
  • COBRA - representing residents from Beare Green

MVHA Disability Forum

This group represents all residents of Mole Valley Housing Association who are living a form of disability.

For more information on the above groups contact the resident involvement team:
