Benchmarking

Benchmarking is a process we use to compare our performance to other housing associations. By looking at performance measures such as performance indicators and costs and by comparing like for like, we can see how one service compares to another. The “weaker” performers can then learn from the processes and approaches of the “stronger” performers. Sharing and analysis of best practise provides a wealth of ideas to improve services to residents.

Wherry is a member of HouseMark, a national company that is the leading source of cost and performance data for social housing. We supply them with performance information on a quarterly and yearly basis, for benchmarking against other housing associations.

HouseMark have recently developed a benchmarking dashboard. This allows us to see how we are performing in terms of value for money against a range of services. To view our dashboard, click below

STATUS Survey

  • During July & August 2010 we undertook our STATUS survey, which 550 of our residents responded
    to.
  • Housing Associations are required to complete an independent survey seeking residents’ views about the performance of the organisation every 3 years.

A summary of the results of our 2010 STATUS Survey carried out by CELLO mruk can be found here.

The questions asked within the survey were set by the Tenant Services Authority (TSA) and the Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG).
